Enhance Your Construction Journey with Piling Experts

Rotary bored piling is one of the most used piling methods in the UK, specifically for larger projects. In this technique, a piling rig attached with drilling tools, including grabs and buckets, is utilised to remove rock and soil. These tools are repeatedly bored into the ground for the progression of the pile until the required depth is achieved.

This piling technique needs meticulous attention and extensive expertise for successful completion. That’s where CJB Piling enters. We excel in drilling hardcore materials and rock when soil conditions are challenging, using the latest high-tech machinery. Boasting 20 years of experience, we are committed to delivering unparalleled services, guaranteeing the sturdiness of your foundations.

Rotary Bored Piling Process

How Do We Achieve It

We at CJB Piling carry out the piling process by engaging in both the drilling fluid method and temporary casing when needed. This enables us to customise our installation methodology in various geological locations with an optimal outcome.

Here’s how we do it:

Site Preparation: We begin with mobilising equipment and rig to the piling platform. Our SSIP-accredited experts ensure the appropriate position of the piling rig so the process can be carried out perfectly.

Drilling: Our experienced engineers attach the rig’s mast with the drilling head for bore piling. During this dynamic process, the soil and hardcore materials are continuously removed. It is done by flushing with drilling fluid or utilising casing to sustain the opening of the borehole.

Reinforcement: With the help of an excavator or crane, we lower the reinforcement cages into the borehole after achieving the desired depth.

Concrete Pouring: Next, our specialists pour the concrete into the borehole. This is usually done with a tremie rack system, which helps assess the optimal flow of concrete and maintain its suspension. It displaces the casing or drilling fluid and once set, the casing is removed if used.
